Having discovered Crust Restaurant around 2 months ago we had a wonderful eating experienced,so.much so we travelled there again and ate in the Restaurant 4x in three days. Ambiance is good, relaxing feels homely with suitable background music. All dishes are prepared professionally with Love, Passion and Devotion to a Silver service standard. The three Course set menu which is serve both lunch time and evenings represents fantastic Value and Superb Quality.We are always felt welcome by Victor ( Chef) who is attentive and single handedly produces food of the Highest standard. A few words can never describe the wonderful experienced we have at this Restaurant. Highly Recommended ,Victor is a Top man , 1st class chef and cares passionately about the food he prepares for his cutomers...If you visit Lincoln there is no other dining experience like this.

The charming genuine vintage decor is virtually unchanged since the 1970's. The three course menu is fantastic value. Victor Vella, who is probably in his seventies, is a most attentive host. His grandson is the chef. It's like travelling backwards in a time machine!

Privileged to have got the last lunchtime table for two. Food as fresh, as traditional and as plentiful as on our last visit. Our host Victor has not changed. A note to newcomers to Crust. You are not customers at a restaurant, you are guests of an award winning chef in his parlour, who is cooking for the love of it. Embrace the experience.

Very good service! This is my second time here and it never disappoints me. The food (a three course lunch meal), the price and the service from the Patron Chef Victor were among the best one can get. The interior decor is so homely it enhances the dining experience. Victor personally served us our orders and made sure we were happy with everything. This time I had the egg mayonnaise for starter, saute pork cutlet as main and banana fritters with ice-cream for dessert. I especially loved the fact that Victor had the fruits placed in the dining area. He is always walking in and out from the kitchen to serve us, to get the fruits to make the dessert - you get the lovely connection between the chef and the customers. Do not be fooled by Victor's initial 'unfriendly' demeanour. He is very, very friendly once you get into conversations with him. The low price but good service makes the whole experience - priceless!

Unexpectedly, one of the nicest places in Lincoln. The dining area is quite big, quiet, old school, some soft music is played from the old radio at the end of the bar. You can feel that details matter here. Victor Vella is a chef and a former judge (!) of chef competitions in London, so you can be sure the food is tasty and nothing goes wrong. Portions are big and good value for money. Overall a very good experience. Best to make a reservation 24h before.
